Creating a great listing
Do you want to increase your chances of securing a rental? Taking the extra time to create the best listing will increase your chances of securing a rental. Below are some helpful tips!
- Take some great photos. It can’t be stressed enough: pictures make or break a listing. Make sure you have clear, well-lit shots of your home’s best assets. Remove any photos that are blurry, poorly lit, or out of date, and try to keep people and pets out of the shot. We also recommend captioning your photos so the renters can better understand your home.
- Before you take your photos, consider reviewing our clean-house checklist. A clean, rental-ready home looks the best in photos!
- Give your tagline some love. Your property’s tagline is right underneath your profile’s cover photo. What’s your home’s strongest selling point? Work that into a tagline that will really catch a renter’s eye! Then, brag about your property some more under the Description tab.
- Watch out for common red flags. Make sure your profile has a picture of every bedroom and bathroom, and fill out the bedroom breakdown so your renters know where they’ll be sleeping. Avoid jumping all around the house with your pics -- give them some flow by arranging them as if you were giving guests a tour of your home, starting at the entryway.
Review your listing often and take note of any changes in your home. An accurate, up-to-date listing with fresh new photos goes a long way!
