Photo Preparation Tips

The following list of tips is compiled to help you make the most of your photos and help you market your home. Your property will look its best when you fully prepare before taking photos.

INTERIOR

• all lights ON
• all ceiling fans OFF
• open all blinds and window treatments
• dust home (fan blades, too)
• personal items hidden (including shoes and jackets)
• hide pet bowls, food, toys
• declutter kitchen counter
• wipe appliances clean
• remove magnets and note from refrigerator
• straighten bedding
• declutter dressers and nightstands
• toilet seat closed
• remove toiletries from bathroom
• declutter bathroom vanity top
• remove bathrooms rugs
• hide interior trash cans
• hide excessive charging cords/plugs

EXTERIOR

• trash cans put away
• no cars in driveway
• straighten patio furniture
• clean up large sticks
• hide outdoor toys
• open patio umbrellas
• remove BBQ covers
• clean up animal feces
